GRETSCH 6120 Chet Atkins Hollowbody, 1962

orange. Double cutaway "ElectroTone" body was introduced in late '61, so this is a guitar from the first year of this body shape, that would be called Nashville a few years later ('66). Headstock inlay is the famous horseshoe, under T-Roof Gretsch logo. Two FilterTronsstraight bar bridge, Gretsch-Bigsby v-cutout vibrato, original oval-button Grover tuners,  'neo-classic' ebony fretboard with 'thumbprint' inlays, gold-plated hardware with some wear but in good shape. Single mute with red felt-pad under lever switch. Color is an amber-orange, not faded, with NO checking: this guitar is almost new, with no belt-buckle wear, dings or pick-wear, in near-mint condition, and you know we don't use this word often! Pickguard has the typical small crack near the screw-hole. but it is solid and original. Another crack is visible in the plastic pickup-ring.... but that's all, the guitar is just perfect.... Beautiful original hardshell case. The back pad is missing. More pictures?
