FENDER ESQUIRE slab-board, 1959 |
|
blond, one of
the earliest Slab Board Fenders. 100%
Original ! Neck date June '59, body date July '59.
Pots are CTS, dated 47th week of '58 (137 8 47). This
time we would like to let the pictures talk.... We'll be
brief: everything on this guitar is
original. Kluson Deluxe single-line tuners, spaghetti
logo, 'whitish-blond' finish typical of late '50s
Teles and Esquires, Killer sounding pickup, knobs,
circuitry, capacitors, bridge, saddles, everything
absolutely original. One of the earliest rosewood
slab-board Esquires, and a fantastic sounding guitar!
Excellent conditions, finish shows only some belt-buckle
and body-edge wear. It's hard to say that such a
beautiful guitar is in 'collector's condition': it MUST
be played! So please DON'T call us if you plan to hang it
on the wall. Tele guys out there, Esquires are ...
hard-core Telecasters, 'extreme' Teles... and they really
are the starting-point of everything. |
