GIBSON ES 335 TDC, 1966 |
|
cherry
red, wonderful!! Strong and un-faded see-through color, and beautiful
maple grain. The guitar is completely original: tune-o-matic bridge
with nylon saddles, trapeze tailpiece, two "Patent Number"
humbucking pickups, chrome hardware, orange oval label, double-ring/double-line
Kluson Deluxe tuners , block markers on a beautiful rosewood board.
The guitar has been used respectfully, some dings and wear here and
there, uniform checking which gives her a lot of vibe (finish is
really solid) and that great vintage charme! Some nice yellowing on
binding and tuner buttons, that now look amber. The neck is straight,
the truss-rod works properly, and frets still have a lot of meat: it's
ready to be taken back on the road to play the Blues! Sound is
exceptional, and explains why this model has always been in the Gibson
line in the past 45 years. The original Gibson case was probably made
for a 12 string 335 (or an EB-2 bass) because it's a few inches longer...
still, it perfectly fits and protects the guitar, and is really
cool-looking. More
